This is a cultural centre and it will be open to the public, especially the youths. They can come in close contact with the various cultural and media based activities. The reading room will be furnished with cultural magazines, books and other audio-video materials. Orchestras, Drama troupes and other forms of performing arts can be programmes of the centre. All these media can be employed to propagate moral principles and values among the public, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

One of the major problems that our youth faces today is lack of orientation. A wide range of careers and professions stare at our youth as a questions mark. As a result the unfortunate youth is in a dilemma. In order to save them from this great problem an stress proper orientation is a must. The cell aims at conducting career orientation programmers to its own students as well as students of other educational institutions. Trained resource persons should be employed for this purpose.

The introduction of a placement cell on the campus will definitely help our students and other too to get a good placement in India or abroad. The placement cell aims giving training to all job seekers for better performance in competitive examinations and interviews. In future a lot of domestic and foreign personnels can be attracted for a campus selection to meet with their human resource needs.

According to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the President of India the great potential of India especially Kerala is its manpower. As it is not channeled in the right path we have the greatest danger of brain drain. If the human resources that we have is fully utilized inside India, no doubt India can be an unquestionable power in the world with amble bargaining capacity. Keeping this fact in view the Media Village plans to have a centre for human resources development. It aims at the overall development of the human being by conducting different programmes of human resource development. Personality procurement, confidence building, leadership training, managerial and administrative skills are some of its multi-faced programmes. In order to attain this the centre plans to conduct training and development programmes inside and outside the campus.

So the centre plans to conduct outreach programmes for the development of the group of people who are not much cared by the Government and other organization. The centre aims at conducting awareness programmes among the so called neglected community and to lead them to the main stream.

This unit also aims at communication for pastoral activities in a truly Christian atmosphere. The activities include catechism, parish camps for students youths and elders, conventions, audio visual classes, seminars, symposia, debates and various competitions. It can be used as a strong and effective instrument to convey Christian messages by making use of the modern developments in media.
